Osborn is then sent back to his universe, where he would exist and have a second chance at life in an alternate timeline. After Goblin is eventually defeated by this universes' Spider-Man, the latter eliminates him for good by curing Osborn. However, not wanting to be cured, the Green Goblin retakes control of Osborn and decides to target this world's version of Spider-Man and his loved ones, becoming one of that Spider-Man's greatest enemies, after Mysterio. He then teams up with those villains to cure themselves, so that they would not have to meet their tragic fates after they eventually return to their worlds. Several years later, a past version of Osborn/Green Goblin from a point prior to his death, is accidentally transported to an alternate universe, where Osborn encounters two v illains from his home universe and two v illains from another alternate universe, all of whom similarly fought Spider-Man and a few of whom suffered a similar fate like him. Despite his death, he'd continue to haunt Spiderman. He is eventually killed during a fight with Spiderman, as he is impaled by his glider he attempted to use to kill Spiderman. After being challenged by Spider-Man, whom he learns is really Peter, Goblin becomes obsessed with destroying Spider-Man and everything he cares about, becoming his archenemy.
